How to Make French Dip Sandwich
First, dry the meat with a paper towel to prepare its surface for better cooking. Then season both sides with salt and pepper. To enhance the aroma and flavor, you can sear the meat in a hot pan with a little butter until it turns golden.
Slice the onion into rings and finely chop or crush the garlic. Sauté the onion in a pan with a little butter until soft and caramelized, then add the garlic and sauté carefully to avoid burning.
Place the meat, onion, garlic, and rosemary into a slow cooker. Then add the thick onion soup, beef broth, broth, and Worcestershire sauce. At this stage, do not add salt and cook the ingredients on low heat for 8 to 10 hours.
After cooking, remove the meat from the slow cooker and let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes. Then slice it against the grain or shred it with two forks. Strain the cooking liquid and remove the excess fat. Slice the baguettes and butter the inside surfaces, then toast them in the oven until crispy.
Place a suitable amount of shredded meat inside the bread and optionally top with cooked onions and sliced cheese. Serve the sandwich with small bowls of warm broth and enjoy its delicious flavor.
