The freedom of a young man from Tehran, who was horrifically held captive for 18 days by kidnappers, has drawn significant attention. This young man, around 30 years old, was abducted in the vicinity of Imam Khomeini Square and returned safely to his family thanks to the tireless efforts of Tehran's Criminal Investigation Police.
Details of the Abduction and Police Actions
Colonel Asghar Khodaei, head of Tehran's Criminal Investigation Police, explained the incident: After the case was referred to the 11th department of the Criminal Investigation Police, it was prioritized for investigation by detectives. Initial investigations revealed that the young man was suddenly attacked and kidnapped on the day he visited Imam Khomeini Square.
Detectives immediately began specialized investigations and, by identifying one of the suspects, managed to find clues about other members of the kidnapping group. This investigation continued in the southern provinces and surrounding counties of Tehran, and eventually, the police were able to identify and arrest all members of this gang.
Freedom and Return to Family
During the investigations, the location where the kidnapped individual was held was identified in one of the western counties of Tehran province. Police officers coordinated necessary actions and raided the location, freeing the young man from Tehran. Fortunately, he returned to his family safe and without paying any ransom to the kidnappers.
This incident once again emphasizes the importance of preventive police actions and their continuous efforts in combating organized crime. Colonel Khodaei concluded by stating that the suspects have been handed over to judicial authorities for legal proceedings, and the police are seriously pursuing the identification of other individuals who may be involved in this gang.
