In the national mental health assessment project conducted from June 1 to July 5 of this year, one million people in Iran participated. The aim of this project was to evaluate the effects of crises, especially war, on the mental health of citizens and to measure their levels of anxiety. The results of this research indicate that Iranian citizens, despite being aware of their psychological harm, are not very inclined to seek treatment and care.

Increase in Anxiety in Society

Currently, Iranian citizens are facing various challenges, including economic pressures, social crises, and political tensions. This situation has led to a significant increase in anxiety and concern among different segments of society. According to the results of this project, many participants, despite being aware of their mental state, have refrained from accepting treatment and taking action to improve their situation.

Factors Affecting Mental Health

The experience of war and political tensions in recent years, especially in economic and social contexts, has had profound effects on the mental health of citizens. These crises have not only impacted individuals' quality of life but have also led to an increase in mental health issues in society. The results of the national mental health assessment project show that while individuals are aware of the problems and crises, a lack of trust in the treatment and counseling system, as well as fear of stigmatization, hinders their actions to improve their situation.

This situation clearly indicates the need for more serious planning in the field of improving mental health and increasing awareness among the people. It seems that creating safe spaces for discussing psychological issues and providing effective counseling services could help reduce anxiety and improve the quality of life for citizens.
