The expansion of accompanying houses in Tehran in the past four years has become one of the largest charitable initiatives, thanks to Hadi Haqbin, the mayor of District 1, and Abdolmajid Rahmani, the secretary of the steering committee and head of the social responsibility secretariat of Tehran's urban organization. This initiative aims to create a space for supporting needy families and reducing social problems in the capital.
Active Presence of Benefactors in Urban Management
Hadi Haqbin stated that networking and utilizing community capacities are among the main goals of urban management. He emphasized that the building of the Growth Center for Participation and Social Responsibility has been dedicated to colleagues to leverage this capacity for advancing programs. This approach will be a starting point for a significant endeavor in the coming years.
Haqbin also added: "We hope that today's friendly meeting will turn into a coherent, organized, and continuous movement, and we, as urban management, will continue to collaborate in the health sector with high motivation."
Success in the Construction and Operation of Accompanying Houses
Abdolmajid Rahmani also stated in this meeting that, with the concerns of urban management and the participation of benefactors, the construction of accompanying houses has significantly increased in the past four years. He introduced this initiative as the largest social responsibility and a successful example of collaborative urban management with the people.
Rahmani continued: "To accelerate this vision, task forces have been established, including the social task force and the health task force. These task forces have been created to synergize and respond to the needs raised by various organizations."
He also pointed out that Dr. Zakhani, the mayor of Tehran, has complete knowledge of the health system due to his medical background, and this opportunity can be utilized to carry out valuable work in the health sector. Rahmani emphasized that urban management welcomes the presence of benefactors and economic enterprises to reduce problems.
Establishment of the Growth Center for Participation and Social Responsibility
For the first time in the regions, the Growth Center for Participation and Social Responsibility has been defined in District 1, focusing on health and accompanying housing. This center has been created as a place to solve urban issues with the help of benefactors, economic enterprises, and organizations, and at the end of the ceremony, the present members visited the accompanying house under construction next to the shrine of Imamzadeh Saleh (peace be upon him).
These actions demonstrate the determination of urban management and the collaboration of institutions and benefactors to improve social and health conditions in Tehran. With the continuation of this approach, it can be expected that social problems in this large city will decrease and a better living environment will be created.
