Dr. Soheil Asad (Edgardo Rubin), an Argentine thinker, addressed the differences between life in Iran and Western countries at a nighttime gathering held at the Basij Martyrs' Base in Qom. He emphasized that many Iranian youth aspire to immigrate to Western countries, stating that this perception needs to be reconsidered.

Why Immigrate to Western Countries?

Asad pointed out that many Iranian youth seek visas to Western countries to reach what is referred to as paradise, saying: "I, who was born in Argentina, have come to your so-called paradise, but I have left it and come to Iran." His remarks reflect the reversal of some social and cultural equations.

He stated that young people should ask why someone has come from that paradise to Iran and what logic justifies this choice. Asad reminded the youth that to better understand the realities, they should delve deeper into life in Iran and Western countries instead of fleeing from problems.

Where is True Freedom?

This Argentine thinker criticized the claims of youth about the lack of freedom in Iran, saying: "The freedoms you are seeking do not exist in my country, Argentina, either." He reminded young people that true freedom does not exist in the West, and many restrictions in Western countries are heavily influenced by media and propaganda.

Asad also referred to his personal experiences, stating: "With three passports, I can enter 110 countries, but now, due to defending the Islamic Republic, I am banned from entering my own country." These statements reflect the contradictions that many individuals face in Western societies.

He urged young people to abandon their misconceptions about life in Western countries and pay attention to existing realities. According to him, many of the human problems that exist in Iran are also severely experienced in other countries.

Finally, Dr. Soheil Asad advised young people to base their choices on realities and accurate information instead of following media and cinematic lies through study and awareness.
