Majid Parsa, the Director General of Education in Tehran, issued a serious warning regarding the activities of some centers known as "homeschool" in the capital and announced that these centers are not recognized as schools and their activities are illegal.
Dealing with Offending Centers
Parsa emphasized that the title of school is not recognized for such spaces, stating: "The activities of these centers under the guise of a school are illegal, and we will take strict action against individuals who use this title for illegal activities." He continued that if these centers are identified, the matter will be referred to the relevant authorities, including the local police, and in some cases, these spaces have been closed.

Raising Family Awareness of Consequences
The Director General of Education in Tehran also urged families to refrain from supporting the activities of these centers. He explained that some individuals may inform families that they are educating their children, but in reality, they enroll the student in another school and obtain their textbooks from unofficial sources. "These conditions do not provide the necessary accountability," Parsa added.
He advised families to be aware of the conditions and consequences of entrusting their children's education to these centers. "We expect families not to turn to these spaces and to understand that formal education in the country is provided within the framework of regulations and in official spaces recognized as schools."
Legal Follow-ups
Parsa emphasized that educational activities outside the formal framework of schools are not approved by the education system, stating that if offending centers are identified, necessary follow-ups will be conducted through the relevant authorities. These statements are aimed at preserving the quality and safety of students' education and preventing potential abuses in the field of education.
Finally, the Director General of Education in Tehran reminded families that their children's education should take place in official environments under legal supervision and control to prevent any potential risks and harms.
