The Director General of Citizen Education of Tehran Municipality, Mehdi Amiri, announced the initiation of the process to identify high-risk schools and ensure the safety of pathways in the capital. This action is aimed at reducing families' concerns and enhancing the safety of students on their way to and from schools.
Practical Measures for Pathway Safety
Mehdi Amiri emphasized the importance of ensuring the safety of pathways around schools, stating: "Currently, we are identifying dangerous and high-risk points around schools. This identification helps us to design and implement safety plans to provide better conditions for students." He also referred to the role of families in this process and added: "The cooperation of families and their attention to this issue can significantly impact the safety of their children."
Facilitating Public Transportation
Amiri further pointed to the facilitation of public transportation as another focus of the municipality's actions. He said: "We are striving to improve public transportation conditions, which will not only reduce traffic but also provide greater safety for students and other citizens. This way, families can send their children to schools with more peace of mind."
These plans, which have been put into action coinciding with the start of the new school year, are a response to families' concerns about the safety of their children on their way to and from schools. Amiri noted in this regard: "As a municipality, we are committed to creating a safe and peaceful environment for all citizens, especially children and adolescents. Therefore, ensuring the safety of pathways and schools is one of our priorities."
Future Outlook
The Director General of Citizen Education of Tehran Municipality highlighted the importance of these actions in promoting a culture of safety in society, stating: "We hope that with the successful implementation of these plans, we can not only ensure the safety of students but also strengthen the culture of safety among families and students."
Finally, Mehdi Amiri urged all citizens to cooperate in this endeavor and to inform the municipality of any potential dangers they observe. He emphasized: "Only through the cooperation and participation of citizens can we achieve a safer and better community."
