The Director General of Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in his recent meeting with reporters, emphasized the importance of transforming economic relations between Iran and Africa. He stated that to strengthen these relations, the approach must shift from merely exporting goods to joint production and technology transfer. This change in pattern can help create sustainable added value and develop bilateral cooperation.

The Necessity of Changing the Pattern in Economic Relations

The Director General of Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the economic relations between Iran and Africa have historically been based more on the export of goods, saying: "This approach is no longer responsive and needs transformation." He emphasized that African countries are seeking to develop their technology and increase their production capacities, and Iran must respond to these needs.

Joint Production and Technology Transfer

Furthermore, the Director General pointed out the importance of joint production and stated: "Iran can help the economic development of both sides by transferring modern technologies and establishing joint industrial centers in African countries." He also referred to Iran's successful experiences in various industrial and technological fields, adding that these experiences can serve as a model for African countries.

This official also mentioned the potential of African markets, stating: "Given the rapid economic growth in many African countries, there are unique opportunities for investment and economic cooperation." He added that Iran must conduct necessary planning with a precise understanding of these markets and their needs.

Creating Sustainable Added Value

In another part of his remarks, the Director General of Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs referred to the necessity of creating sustainable added value, saying: "Simply exporting goods to African countries is not enough; we must think about creating supply chains and joint production that benefit both sides." He emphasized that these chains not only help increase income but also lead to job creation and improve economic conditions in both regions.

In conclusion, the Director General of Africa at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed hope that Iran's serious determination to strengthen relations with African countries would elevate economic cooperation between the two sides to a new level in the coming years, benefiting both nations.
