Direct flights on the Rasht-Shiraz route and vice versa will be established from September 22. Seyed Mohsen Mirhosseini, the director of Sardar Jangal International Airport in Rasht, announced this news, stating that these flights are scheduled to take place on Saturdays and Tuesdays each week.

According to Mirhosseini, in the first step, the Rasht–Shiraz and Shiraz–Rasht flights have been added to the flight schedule of this airport. He also announced plans to add the Rasht–Bandar Abbas and Bandar Abbas–Rasht routes in the near future. This initiative is part of efforts to develop the flight network of Gilan Airport.
