Given the increasing demand for travel to Georgia, Iranian airlines have had frequent flights to this country in recent years, which have increased to about 15 to 20 weekly flights during the summer season. The Georgian Civil Aviation Agency has recently announced that it will fully comply with the sanctions imposed by its international partners. In a statement, the agency emphasized that in the process of issuing and renewing the operating licenses of airlines, in addition to domestic laws, international standards and the sanctions of the European Union and the United States will also be taken into account.
The recent sanctions by the U.S. Treasury Department include 36 individuals and entities and have affected almost all Iranian airlines.
