Tehran Bus Company has started deploying 90 buses in renovated lines with the aim of facilitating the movement of citizens and students. This action coincides with the reopening of schools and the beginning of the new academic year to increase the capacity of the public transportation network and improve passenger satisfaction.
Renovation and Upgrade of the Transportation Fleet
Masoud Salim Jouhari, the Deputy of Operations at the Bus Company, explained that the renovation and upgrade of the fleet, alongside the electrification of the lines, are among the main priorities of the company to improve the quality of public transportation services. One of the key actions in this regard is changing the operation of line 317 from Shoosh Square to Baharestan Square from private to public ownership and assigning an electric bus to this line.

For example, the starting point of line 451 has been changed from Janatabad to Shahran, and lines 345, 258, 328, and 106 have also been transferred from private to public ownership. These changes are designed to meet the needs of urban travel during the beginning of the academic year.
Line 345, with the route from Abazar Boulevard to Baharestan Square, and line 258, with the route from Javadieh to Shahid Fayyazbakhsh Terminal, are among the lines that are covered by these changes. Additionally, line 328, with the route from Olympic Village to Sadeghiyeh Metro Terminal, and line 106, with the route from Laleh Terminal to Shahid Afshar Terminal, will also provide services as public lines.
Increase in Service Capacity
Salim Jouhari also announced the change of the mode of transportation for line 334 from minibus to bus. This line, which operates from Shahr-e-Rey Parking to Shahr-e-Rey Metro Terminal, will provide better services to citizens with a higher transportation capacity.
Considering the beginning of the academic year and the increase in the student population on the streets, the series of actions taken to increase capacity, renovate the fleet, and develop electric buses are aimed at improving the operation of the lines and responding to the needs of citizens and students.
