In the past month, Snap driver users have waited approximately 4.8 million hours at the pickup point; a figure that directly reflects the impact of passenger behavior on the working conditions of these drivers. Delays at the pickup point, with 245,855 occurrences, have been recorded as the most common reason for dissatisfaction. This reality clearly shows that a simple yet frequent behavior can affect the time and income of drivers.
Factors Affecting Driver Dissatisfaction
In addition to delays at the pickup point, other factors such as non-compliance with hygiene principles and inappropriate behavior rank next with shares of 14% and 13.9%, respectively. Driver users can rate their experience and express their reasons for satisfaction or dissatisfaction after each trip. Interestingly, about 63% of driver users utilize the rating feature, and the average rating from passenger users is around 4.5 out of 5.

In this context, adhering to principles such as punctuality and cleanliness of the vehicle can enhance the travel experience. Passenger users can view their average rating and badges in their account section. These badges represent simple behaviors that can have a direct impact on the driver's working time and travel experience.
The Impact of Waiting Time on Driver Income
An analysis of over 138 million Snap trips over a one-month period shows that the total waiting time for driver users at the pickup point has been approximately 4.8 million hours. This time is calculated from the moment the driver user announces their presence until the passenger boards or the trip is canceled, equivalent to more than 802,000 working days. The average waiting time per trip is 2 minutes and 5 seconds, and in canceled trips, this time increases to 6 minutes and 3 seconds.
It seems that a few minutes of waiting during a trip is a short time, but its repetition throughout the day can significantly reduce the driver's opportunity to accept subsequent trips and earn income. Preparing before requesting a ride and arriving on time at the pickup point helps preserve working time.
Some other negative feedback from driver users relates to the conditions inside the vehicle. Damaging the vehicle, having more passengers than capacity, and smoking are other reasons for driver dissatisfaction. These behaviors may incur additional cleaning or repair costs for drivers, consequently limiting their ability to continue working and earning income.
In Snap, the evaluation of the travel experience is conducted bilaterally, and users from both sides can rate and provide feedback after the trip. This mechanism reflects both positive and negative behaviors and will help improve service quality. For example, the "Punctuality" badge is awarded to driver users due to positive feedback in this area.
