On the first day of the week, Saturday, November 9, Tehran Stock Exchange encountered a negative atmosphere, and the overall index of this market reached 7.8 million points with a significant drop. This decrease of 128,745 points indicates selling pressure in the market, particularly affecting large and influential symbols.

Simultaneous Drop in Indices and Trading Activities

Alongside the decrease in the overall index, the equal-weighted index also fell by 12,872 points to reach 2,196,000 points. This simultaneous drop indicates that the selling pressure was not limited to large symbols and has affected a broader segment of the market.

During today's trading, the number of transactions exceeded one million, and the value of trades was recorded at over 30 trillion tomans. This indicates the continued significant activity of traders alongside the prevailing negative atmosphere in the market. Influential symbols on the overall index of the stock exchange include Foulad, Pars, Shapna, Tabaan, Shasta, Tappico, and Vaghdir.

Situation of the Over-the-Counter Market and Market Analysis

On the other side of the capital market, Iran's over-the-counter market also experienced a negative day, with the overall index of this market decreasing by 256 points to reach 66,127 points. The number of transactions in the over-the-counter market was also recorded at 1,174,000. Symbols such as Koghar, Arya, Fazar, Sharanel, Faghdir, Hormoz, and Maroon were among the influential symbols on the overall index of the over-the-counter market today.

The total trading developments today indicate that the stock market has started the week with supply outweighing demand. The significant drop in the overall index, alongside the decrease in the equal-weighted index and the retreat of the over-the-counter market, suggests that the selling pressure has been relatively widespread. However, the number of transactions exceeding one million and the recorded trading value of over 30 trillion tomans indicate that despite the drop in indices, trading activity in the market continues.

For a more accurate assessment of the market situation, the trend of real money inflow and outflow, the value of buy and sell orders, and the level of demand in the coming days should also be examined. Currently, a return of demand and a reduction in selling pressure could play a significant role in determining the short-term direction of the market. Conversely, the continued dominance of sellers may lead to further negative fluctuations in the indices.
