The country's Crisis Management issued a serious warning to the public regarding major flooding on the north and south coasts of Iran. This warning has been issued especially due to the heavy rains and recent floods in the northern regions of the country, particularly in Mazandaran and Golestan.
Limited Damages in the North of the Country
The heavy rains and flooding that have occurred in recent days in the north of the country have caused damage to homes, infrastructure, and farms. However, Mohammadi, the spokesperson for Crisis Management, emphasized in an interview with reporters that despite the heavy rainfall, significant damages have not been recorded compared to previous floods. Some rain gauge stations have reported rainfall amounts of 80 millimeters, with 60 millimeters recorded in Nowshahr and 58 millimeters in Aliabad.

Marine Warnings and Recommendations for Travelers
Mohammadi also warned the public that from Saturday to Monday, the northern and southern seas of the country will face increased wind intensity and wave heights of up to 2 meters. This condition will particularly affect the provinces of Gilan, Mazandaran, Golestan, Hormozgan, Bushehr, and Khuzestan. He advised travelers to avoid marine recreational activities, especially on the northern beaches, and strongly prohibited swimming in the Caspian Sea. Additionally, the operation of recreational and light boats will not be possible under these conditions.
The spokesperson for Crisis Management pointed out the potential dangers of being in high-altitude areas and along river paths, stating that people should stay away from high-risk areas. He also called for public cooperation in informing municipalities and governorates about hazardous locations. Necessary dredging operations in various parts of the country have begun months ago, but citizens should report any need for dredging to the relevant authorities.
Given the autumn weather conditions and the frequent arrival of rain systems in the country, Crisis Management is on full alert and the public is urged to act more cautiously regarding weather changes. This weather situation emphasizes the need for vigilance and preventive measures more than ever.
