Qobad Moradi, the director of the Center for Communicable Disease Control at the Ministry of Health, reported concerning respiratory infection conditions in the country in his latest statements. According to the latest statistics, the positivity rate of COVID-19 tests among individuals with symptoms of fever and cough has reached 16.5%, and the positivity rate of influenza tests is approximately 10.6%. These figures indicate that both diseases have crossed the warning threshold.

Public Health Status at Risk

Moradi further explained that if the positivity rates exceed 10%, the situation falls within the warning threshold. This means that people need to pay more attention to health recommendations. He noted that given the current statistics, adherence to health protocols and prevention of respiratory infections is crucial.

Focus on Preventing Respiratory Infections

The director of the Center for Communicable Disease Control emphasized the importance of increasing public awareness, stating that if disease indicators rise further and cross the warning level, communication about the disease status will be conducted more seriously. This reflects a critical situation and the need for immediate attention to public health.

Health officials have also announced that the status of COVID-19 and influenza is regularly monitored, and the results of these assessments are usually published on Sundays or Mondays. This action is aimed at creating transparency and greater awareness among the public.

Given the current conditions, the importance of adhering to health protocols by all members of society is felt more than ever. People are urged to take issues such as wearing masks, maintaining social distance, and frequent handwashing seriously.

In this critical situation, the cooperation and collaboration of the public and health institutions will play a key role in controlling these two diseases. Based on past experiences in dealing with disease outbreaks, it is hoped that with collective cooperation, this crisis will also be managed soon.
