In the clash last night in Behbahan industrial zone, Tavanir forces faced individuals installing illegal mining devices while attempting to identify and collect these miners. This confrontation led to damage to several vehicles and mobile phones of Tavanir colleagues, resulting in assaults on some of the company's personnel.

Identification of Illegal Miners and Damage from the Clash

Mohammad Alahdad, CEO of Tavanir, announced at a press conference at the end of the summer peak consumption period that more than 3,000 illegal mining devices have been identified in this industrial zone. He emphasized that due to the circumstances, it was not possible to collect all devices that night and urged the public to cooperate with the electricity industry in identifying illegal cryptocurrency mining centers and those involved in electricity theft.

Alahdad also referred to the discovery of a large cryptocurrency mining farm in Eshtehard, stating that 362 illegal mining devices were identified in this area. A significant portion of illegal centers are identified through public reports, and public cooperation can play a crucial role in reducing energy theft and combating illegal consumers.

Legal Consequences for Illegal Subscribers

The CEO of Tavanir further mentioned the legal consequences for subscribers who use subsidized electricity for cryptocurrency mining, stating that if an illegal miner is discovered in a household, the subsidized electricity of that subscriber will be cut off, and they will have to pay for electricity at market rates for one year. He emphasized that dealing with illegal consumption is not limited to the collection of equipment.

Alahdad provided information about the dimensions of illegal electricity consumption, stating that approximately 1.1 million electricity consumers without meters have been identified, and one million meters of illegal cables have been collected. The actions taken to combat illegal consumption have prevented the waste of nearly 6 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity.

He also mentioned the status of electricity industry receivables, stating that Tavanir's total receivables from customers have reached about 120 trillion tomans, of which approximately 75 trillion tomans are related to industries. Collecting these receivables is crucial for financing the electricity industry and implementing development programs, and subscribers must pay their debts to the electricity industry.

The CEO of Tavanir also referred to the electricity imbalance situation in the country, stating that at the beginning of the government's term, the electricity imbalance during peak consumption was about 20,000 megawatts, which has now been reduced to about 10,000 megawatts due to actions taken in the electricity industry.
