The car market today, Thursday, October 15, 2026, faced significant fluctuations. While the prices of some cars increased and others decreased, these changes reflect the special conditions and lack of a real boom in the market. On this day, the exchange rate reached around 263,000 tomans, but contrary to expectations, it had little impact on car prices.
Price Fluctuations and Market Behavior
Studies show that the increase in asking prices from sellers does not necessarily indicate a boom in transactions or the presence of real demand. For example, in some cases, the price of a car suddenly increases, but due to the lack of effective buyers, the seller is forced to reduce the price. This indicates emotional behavior in the market, which is more susceptible to correction in recessionary conditions.
If the car market were experiencing a real boom, cars that had seen price jumps in recent weeks would not easily return to lower levels. This reality clearly reflects the current state of the market, which has entered a phase of correction and a return of some previous increases.
Car Price Analysis
In the domestic car market, a dual trend was observed today. Some products faced price decreases while others saw price increases. Among the cars examined, the Peugeot 207 manual experienced the largest price drop, while the Dena Plus automatic and Tara manual saw price increases.
Specifically, the price of the Sorena Plus dual-fuel with a large cylinder decreased by 15 million tomans today, reaching 2 billion and 760 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the Peugeot 207 manual dropped by 45 million tomans compared to yesterday, settling at 2 billion and 655 million tomans. In contrast, the price of the Dena Plus automatic increased by 10 million tomans to reach 3 billion and 760 million tomans, and the price of the Tara manual rose by 22 million tomans to 2 billion and 870 million tomans.
In the Saipa product market, the price of the Quick S zero decreased by 5 million tomans today, reaching 1 billion and 625 million tomans. Also, the price of the Shahin automatic dropped by 15 million tomans to 2 billion and 955 million tomans.
Status of Assembled Cars
The market for assembled cars also did not follow a uniform trend today. The price decrease of some models coincided with the price increase of others. For example, the price of the Phoenix FX today decreased by 100 million tomans to reach 7 billion and 170 million tomans, while the Tiggo 8 ProMax increased by 120 million tomans to 10 billion and 140 million tomans.
The price of the Haima 8S also increased by 10 million tomans today, reaching 7 billion and 450 million tomans. Additionally, the price of the JAC J4 zero was announced today as 3 billion and 250 million tomans.
These price fluctuations and the contradictory behavior of the car market indicate a lackluster state and a lack of real boom in this sector. Many analysts believe that these fluctuations and small changes in prices cannot be seen as signs of economic improvement, and the market requires fundamental reforms and greater stability.
