Bahaddin Hosseini Hashemi, an economist and senior monetary and banking expert, pointed out the current state of Iran's economy, stating that inflation has somehow turned into a business. In recent years, the economic conditions have been such that cash holders are severely harmed, and this situation could lead to increased public dissatisfaction.
Inflation and its impact on people's lives
Inflation not only negatively affects people's purchasing power but also exacerbates economic inequality. Bahaddin Hosseini Hashemi says: "Individuals with cash assets, especially in the current conditions, are under severe pressure. With rising prices, these individuals gradually lose the value of their capital, and this situation will benefit profiteers and brokers."

Price controls and resource outflow
Hosseini Hashemi further referred to price controls and explained that these rates lead to the outflow of resources from the country and increased imports. "Instead of controlling inflation, the government tries to manage the market with price controls, which not only does not help improve the situation but also exacerbates problems. For this reason, we are witnessing an increase in imports and the outflow of resources from the country," he added.
This economist also emphasized the need for changes in economic policies and said: "We must move towards more sustainable and efficient economic policies to act in favor of all people. Otherwise, the current situation will continue, and more harm will be inflicted on society."
In the end, Bahaddin Hosseini Hashemi emphasized that only by making the right economic decisions can we hope for an improvement in the current situation; otherwise, everyone should expect more severe consequences.
