The Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Iran, emphasizing the importance of the BRICS group in creating global economic and political transformations, pointed to India's key role in this group. According to him, India, as a large and emerging country, currently holds the presidency of BRICS and can effectively lead this group and its member countries.
Strengthening National Currencies; A Common Goal of BRICS Members
Araghchi further stated that all BRICS members emphasize the strengthening of national currencies. This clearly indicates the efforts of member countries to reduce dependence on foreign currencies and improve intra-group economic relations. He noted that this approach could help member countries become more resilient against global economic fluctuations.
The Iranian Foreign Minister also pointed out that BRICS, as an international entity, can play an important role in creating balance in global economic relations. Given the recent developments in global markets and the economic pressures from Western countries, BRICS members are seeking to create solutions to address these challenges.
Araghchi mentioned that BRICS aims to strengthen economic and trade cooperation among member countries, stating that Iran, as an active member of this group, is ready to take steps towards achieving these goals. According to him, economic cooperation can benefit all BRICS member countries and ultimately lead to strengthening economic and political stability at the global level.
