Amir Ali Abolfath, an expert on American affairs, discussed the current status of the Iran nuclear agreement in an interview, stating that all key players in this area are seeking to reach an agreement. However, he emphasized that the definitions of this agreement are significantly different.
The Agreement from Iran and the U.S. Perspectives
Abolfath stated that Iran has a specific view regarding the nuclear agreement, adding: "We believe that the U.S. sees the agreement as a form of surrender. Meanwhile, Iran seeks a balanced and fair agreement. In fact, the U.S. views the agreement we have in mind as extortion, and this perspective could become a major obstacle in the negotiations."

Consequences of No Agreement
The American affairs expert further discussed the consequences of the failure of the JCPOA for Iran and the global community. He stated that if an agreement is not reached, not only Iran but other countries will also suffer from its repercussions. Abolfath stressed that this situation could lead to increased tensions in the region and disrupt global stability.
He also emphasized the importance of diplomacy in resolving these issues, saying: "The only solution to the Iranian nuclear crisis is diplomacy and constructive dialogue between the parties. Ignoring this point could exacerbate problems and lead to further complexities."
Expectations from the Agreement
In this conversation, Abolfath also referred to Iran's expectations from the nuclear agreement, explaining that Iran seeks a comprehensive and sustainable agreement that leads to the realization of its rights and the lifting of unjust sanctions. He believes that only in this way can a positive and sustainable outcome be achieved.
Ultimately, Abolfath emphasized that all parties must continue negotiations with a realistic perspective and focus on common interests instead of political games. He added: "When views and expectations are expressed realistically and honestly, the likelihood of reaching a positive and sustainable agreement increases."
