Ali Tajernia, the chairman of the board and acting CEO of Esteghlal, announced the club's actions to prevent the transfer window from closing again. The closure of the window at the beginning of the season was a major challenge for Esteghlal and forced Sohrab Bakhtiari-Zadeh to enter competitions without new players.
Concerns and Legal Actions
Tajernia said in this regard: "We share this concern with the fans. In this context, the club's legal council has been formed with the presence of experts in domestic law, international law, and sports law. We held a meeting last week, and rest assured, we will not allow things to reach a point where such an event happens again."

Transfer Plans and Team Strengthening
The acting CEO of Esteghlal pointed to the start of transfer plans, saying: "We have started attracting two players (Khalifeh and Goudarzi) since before the mid-season, and naturally, we plan to attract three or four more players with the head coach's opinion. We are moving forward with this plan, confident that, God willing, we can acquire good players in the mid-season."
Tajernia also referred to the team's needs in various positions, stating: "The final decision belongs to the head coach, but what is certain is that we definitely want to strengthen ourselves in the striker position. We also have plans for an attacking midfielder and some defensive positions. This decision is not due to a lack of players; our goal is to increase the power and quality of the team."
Tajernia, referring to the pressure of competitions on the team, said: "Esteghlal is under a lot of pressure in terms of the number of matches. We are participating in the Premier League and the Asian Elite League, and the Hazfi Cup may also be added to this schedule. Currently, we are playing an average of one match every four days, and we really need to give players rest and utilize the full capacity of the team."
