The television series "Cypress, White, Red" takes an episodic approach to tell various stories about the 12-day war and its impact on people's lives. This series aims to depict the war not only from the battlefield perspective but also addresses topics such as family, trust, betrayal, migration, human relationships, and individual choices in critical situations through its independent stories. The multitude of directors and actors in different episodes has also resulted in each episode having its own narrative space and atmosphere.

The Story of the Episode "Suspect"

"Suspect" is one of the episodes of this series directed and written by Amir Abili, focusing on the character Peyman; a man who ends up in prison due to a setup and later confronts a bitter truth about the closest person in his life. This episode explores concepts such as trust, suspicion, and betrayal within a mysterious and familial context, attempting to portray the relationship between betrayal of family and disloyalty to the homeland.

Ali Moradi's Performance

Ali Moradi, the actor playing Peyman, said about his role in the episode "Suspect": "The opportunity to act in this episode was offered to me by Amir Abili, the director of the work. He is a very old friend of mine, and we worked together in program production years ago, and our friendship started from there." Moradi continued: "I read the screenplay, liked it, and ultimately this collaboration took shape. The character Peyman is the main character of the story, and the tale unfolds between him and his brother Behzad."

Moradi further explained about the role: "Peyman is an innocent person who ends up in prison due to a setup. At the end of the story, it becomes clear that he has been betrayed by the closest person in his life, his own brother." This betrayal does not only concern Peyman; others are also involved. He ultimately concludes that someone who does not show mercy to their own family cannot be loyal to their land and blood either.

Social and Cultural Messages

Moradi stated: "After the 12-day war, we witnessed events that are partly depicted in this film. In the midst of the war, we saw that some individuals even wanted the enemy to target certain areas and sold others to settle personal scores. This story also involves a betrayal that initially affects the family and then extends to the land." He added: "Participating in such a project is a form of paying homage. In the current difficult circumstances, doing cultural work is important."

Ali Moradi concluded: "I believe "Cypress, White, Red" can be a significant experience and a suitable opportunity to narrate part of the events that society has faced."
