Abdolnaser Hemmati, the Governor of the Central Bank, answered questions about the provision of medicine in a press conference and said: "In the past seven months of the year 1405, we have provided nearly 3.3 billion dollars for medicine, which is a 28 percent increase compared to the same period last year." These statements reflect the government's efforts to provide the necessary medicines for the people, especially in the current situation where the country is facing economic challenges.

Increase in Currency Provision for Medicine

Hemmati emphasized that this year's conditions are very different from last year, stating: "Despite these differences, the amount of currency provided for medicine has increased." He added that the Central Bank, as the responsible institution, has had no restrictions on providing currency for medicine and has made every effort to resolve existing issues.

Support for Medicine Producers

The Governor of the Central Bank also referred to financial support for medicine producers and said: "In addition to providing currency, significant financial resources have also been made available, especially for major producers in this field." These actions are aimed at strengthening domestic production and reducing dependence on imported medicine.

Hemmati emphasized that despite the provision of currency and financial resources, it seems that the problem with medicine is more related to logistics. He stated: "Our entire effort is to ensure that medicine is abundantly available to our dear people, and there are no issues in providing currency and financial resources." These statements reflect the government's serious determination to solve existing problems in medicine provision and support the health sector of the country.

Logistical Challenges

Referring to logistical problems, Hemmati noted that in some cases, the distribution and delivery process of medicine to treatment centers faces challenges that can lead to delays in getting medicine to patients. He pointed out the importance of cooperation among various agencies in the country and stated that more coordination and collaboration are needed to resolve these issues.

Ultimately, Hemmati emphasized that the country's health system currently needs the provision and distribution of medicine, stressing the need to pay attention to this issue and said: "As the Central Bank, we are making every effort to create better conditions for medicine provision."
