Abbas Ghanbari-Bagestan, Deputy of Scholarships and Foreign Students Affairs Organization, emphasized the importance of attracting foreign students through innovative programs at the second meeting of the managers of international student recruitment at the country's universities. This meeting, held online, served as an opportunity to explore new strategies for attracting international students.

Development of Online and Electronic Courses

During this meeting, university managers discussed and exchanged views on facilitating the recruitment of foreign students. One of the main focuses of this session was the establishment and development of fully online and electronic courses. This initiative allows students to benefit from the educational facilities of the country's universities without the need to travel to Iran.

Educational and Cultural Capacities of the African Market

In this context, special attention was given to the African market and its scientific and cultural capacities. Abbas Ghanbari-Bagestan and other officials present at the meeting believe that by utilizing these capacities, it is possible to help attract more foreign students. Additionally, the discussion of issuing consolidated licenses for top-tier universities to hold online courses at the master's level was raised to provide a suitable environment for international students' education.

These programs, especially in the current circumstances where international travel faces many challenges, can be a suitable opportunity for students to benefit from the quality education of Iran.

Hybrid Educational Models and the Future of Student Recruitment

Strengthening hybrid educational models was also another topic discussed in this meeting. Officials pointed out that offering hybrid education allows students to utilize various learning methods based on their personal circumstances and needs.

Given these developments, it seems that Iranian universities are taking effective steps towards attracting foreign students, and these changes could contribute to enhancing the scientific and cultural level of the country. Ultimately, these programs reflect the determination of officials to create a suitable environment for the education of international students and to enhance the academic reputation of Iranian universities on a global scale.
