A new rain wave that is on its way is expected to reach the country by the end of this week and bring atmospheric instability to many provinces. According to the Meteorological Organization's forecasts, these rains may manifest as rain showers, thunderstorms, and strong winds.

Impact of the rains on various provinces

In the early days of this rain wave, various regions including East and West Azerbaijan, Kermanshah, Kurdistan, Hamadan, Zanjan, Qazvin, Gilan, Mazandaran, and the central Alborz heights will be affected. It is expected that in these areas, cloud cover and rain showers along with thunderstorms and even strong winds and dust storms will occur.

This atmospheric instability will continue until Thursday and Friday and will expand to the western regions of the country, the Caspian Sea coasts, and North Khorasan. Scattered and unstable rains are predicted in these areas, which could lead to reduced air quality and traffic issues.

Expansion of the rain system and temperature changes

From Friday afternoon, with the strengthening of northern currents over the Caspian Sea, the range of activity of this rain system will widen. The northern regions of East Azerbaijan, Ardabil, the coastal provinces of the Caspian Sea, and the Alborz heights will be affected by heavy rains. Additionally, North Khorasan and North Razavi Khorasan will also experience rainfall.

Alongside the rains, the Meteorological Organization has predicted a significant drop in temperatures in the northern regions of the country. These temperature changes may make the autumn atmosphere more noticeable in these areas and gradually display signs of the new season.

On Sunday, rains will also continue in parts of the northeast, southeast, and the eastern coasts of the Caspian Sea. Therefore, it is necessary for residents of these areas to prepare for unstable weather conditions and avoid unnecessary travel.

In addition to the rains, relatively strong to severe winds are also predicted in the eastern strip and some areas of the northwest, west, and central parts of the country. These weather conditions may cause dust storms and reduced air quality in susceptible areas, which can be dangerous for individuals with respiratory issues.
