Alireza Zakani, at the closing ceremony of the 19th International Resistance Film Festival, acknowledged the concept of resistance and the role of art in promoting the culture of resistance, expressing gratitude to all those who played a role in organizing this artistic event. Zakani, while remembering the martyrs of the Shajareh Tayebeh School in Minab, referred to the artistic values showcased in this festival and said: "In this period, we were together and we are proud of the created works and the path taken."

Resistance; A Fundamental Strategy

Zakani expressed his understanding of the concept of resistance as follows: "Resistance stands against surrender, and its midpoint is compromise. Resistance can be passive, which results in nothing but erosion and collapse, or it can be active." He continued: "Active resistance is what leads us to our goal and is a fundamental strategy, not a tactic." According to him, this foundation can bring continuous victories for an individual, community, or nation.

The Role of Art in Promoting the Culture of Resistance

Zakani spoke about the role of the Resistance Film Festival, stating: "Art can showcase various forms of resistance, explore its roots, and convey its works accurately to the audience." He added that this culture must be institutionalized in society with renewed hope and effort. The Mayor of Tehran also referred to the various manifestations of resistance in the city and country, saying: "The more artistically and effectively the issues of the city and urban management are addressed, the better the various dimensions of life and urban and national conditions are revealed."

Zakani further referred to the services during the war, stating: "In the 12-day war, nearly 20,000 people received services in hotels, and in the 40-day war, more than 9,000 people received services." He acknowledged the sacrifices of psychologists during this period and praised their dedication and services, saying: "The management of this work was entrusted to a group of university and seminary professors, and through precise expert work, a new path was opened for serving the victims of the war."

In conclusion, Zakani honored the dear martyrs, especially Martyr Salami, Martyr Tangestari, and Martyr Soleimani, and expressed gratitude to the servants of the works and the organizers of the festival.
