Yemen, following a statement from its Foreign Ministry, has once again called for an end to the conflicts and the lifting of the siege by Saudi Arabia. This statement, released on Thursday, was made in response to the recent call by Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayyeb, Sheikh Al-Azhar, for an end to the wars in the region.
Call to End the Siege
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry emphasizes that Riyadh must be pressured to respond positively to this call and to end the siege and attacks on Yemen. Consequences of Continuing the Current Situation
The Yemeni Foreign Ministry has stated that Saudi Arabia must cease its interventions, or it will face the consequences of these actions. Mohammed Abdul Salam, spokesman for the Ansar Allah movement and head of Yemen's national negotiating team, in his message to Sheikh Al-Azhar, expressed his satisfaction with his call for an end to the war, while pointing to the dire situation in Yemen following Saudi attacks.
Abdul Salam, referring to Saudi Arabia's irresponsible adventures, stressed that the country must respond positively to the reassuring messages sent directly and instead of siding with one party, work towards amicably resolving disputes. Meanwhile, Yemen has always strived for peace and security in the region.
In the meantime, the war in Yemen has become one of the longest and most complex humanitarian crises. Millions of people are facing numerous challenges as a result of these conflicts and are in need of humanitarian assistance. Therefore, ending the siege and conflicts seems more essential than ever.
