Volodymyr Zelensky, the President of Ukraine, emphasized in his statements that no one publicly supports the war in Ukraine, except for Vladimir Putin. These remarks come as the war in Ukraine continues, causing significant human casualties and financial losses.
Heavy casualties of Russia and the realities of war
Zelensky mentioned shocking statistics in his speech, stating that 21 countries in the world have a population smaller than the number of Russian forces killed in the past eight months. He clarified that for each Russian casualty, there is video confirmation available, and these statistics are not just numbers, but relate to human lives and their destinies. Zelensky pointed to an archive of drone videos, stating that thousands of Russian forces are losing their lives in various regions.

The madness of war and Putin's goals
Zelensky described the war as madness and stated that despite heavy casualties, Russian forces continue to fight because this is what Putin wants. He also pointed out that after losing this number of troops, Russia has only managed to capture just over a thousand square kilometers of Ukrainian territory, a significant portion of which has also been liberated by Ukrainian forces.
Zelensky emphasized that Russia currently controls 17 million square kilometers of its territory, noting that Putin has paid 248 people for every square kilometer added to the occupied lands. Zelensky's remarks reflect dissatisfaction and the irrationality of Putin's decisions in the war.
Zelensky called for global attention to these realities and urged the international community to stand with Ukraine and help bring an end to this senseless war. He believes that regardless of Russia's efforts, Ukraine will continue to fight for its freedom and territorial integrity.
