UNICEF, as an international organization active in the field of children's rights, issued a statement following the tragic incident at Minab school that resulted in the deaths of several children. This incident not only drew domestic attention but also sparked global reactions.

UNICEF's Actions in Support of Children

Askar Jalalian, Deputy for Human Rights and International Affairs at the Ministry of Justice, stated in this regard: "The issue of children's rights is one that no country can remain indifferent to or declare neutrality on. This issue is especially felt in circumstances where several children lost their lives in an unfortunate incident."

He continued that UNICEF, in addition to issuing statements condemning violations of children's rights, has also provided financial assistance to organizations related to this issue. According to Jalalian, this assistance is aimed at improving the conditions of children and supporting their rights.

Legal Proceedings for the Martyrs' Children's Case

Jalalian also commented on the latest status of legal and judicial proceedings regarding the martyrs of Minab school, stating: "Documentation for legal and judicial actions in this case is currently being carried out by the Legal Deputy of the Presidency." He emphasized that these actions demonstrate the country's serious commitment to pursuing the rights of children affected by incidents.

The decision to document this case and pursue its legal aspects reflects a serious commitment to creating positive changes in the legal and social status of children in Iran. This matter can also send a message to other countries that children's rights, beyond borders, must be prioritized and that no country can remain silent on this issue.

The Minab school incident, as a turning point in attention to children's rights in Iran, requires immediate and effective responses. Support from UNICEF and other international organizations in this regard can help strengthen these rights and prevent similar incidents.
