Last night, the Donald Trump administration, during its election campaign, once again threatened the Islamic Republic of Iran with destruction and a severe blow. These remarks come as tensions and conflicts in the Middle East, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, have sharply increased.

Security Challenges in the Persian Gulf

In recent months, the Persian Gulf has become a scene of conflicts and tensions. With the onset of war between the United States and Israel against the Islamic Republic of Iran, disruptions in shipping and energy supply have occurred in the region. Sultan Al Jaber, CEO of the Abu Dhabi National Oil Company, announced that nearly one billion barrels of oil have been extracted from global reserves. This situation has led to an increase in diesel and other energy prices, putting pressure on the cost of living for people and governments.

Consequences of Trump's Threats

Analysts believe that Trump's threats could have serious consequences for international relations and regional security. Especially since it is likely that after the midterm elections in the United States, attacks by the United States against the Islamic Republic will begin. These threats come as Trump is looking for someone to blame for America's failures in recent wars.

Reports indicate that Trump is reviewing the performance of Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, and is seeking to find someone to blame for recent failures. Meanwhile, analysts claim that Hegseth's assessments have been overly optimistic and have failed to satisfy Trump.

Additionally, the United States Central Command (CENTCOM) responded to the statements of Abbas Araghchi, the Iranian Foreign Minister, and rejected his claims that Iran does not attack civilians. CENTCOM stated that Iran deliberately targets the civilian infrastructure of neighboring countries, resulting in the deaths of more than 20 people.

Alongside the increasing threats and tensions, Xi Jinping, the President of China, also emphasized the need for Arab countries to cooperate to achieve peace and stability in the region during his recent meeting with Haitham bin Tariq, the Sultan of Oman. He stated that China is ready to cooperate in reducing tensions and achieving sustainable security in the Middle East.

In this context, concerns about the escalation of conflicts and their consequences for regional and global countries are growing. While Trump is looking for someone to blame for America's failures in recent wars, the situation in the Persian Gulf is heading towards instability and crisis.
