Mohammad Javad Zarif, our Foreign Minister, emphasized the role of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries in ensuring regional security at a press conference. He pointed out that there is no hostility between Iran and these countries and that security arrangements should be shaped in a way that allows regional countries to participate.

The Necessity of Cooperation Among Regional Countries

Zarif stated that regional security must be provided by the countries of the region themselves, adding: "The presence of foreign troops only leads to increased tensions and instability." He also noted that the Gulf countries can reach a comprehensive agreement for regional security through cooperation and collaboration.

Emphasis on Regional Diplomacy

The Iranian Foreign Minister, referring to the history of relations between Iran and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, emphasized the necessity of diplomacy and constructive dialogue, stating: "We must make every effort to reduce tensions and improve relations." He also reminded that effective diplomacy can contribute to stability and security in the region and prevent conflicts from arising.

Zarif also referred to the challenges posed by foreign interventions and stated that these interventions have not benefited the regional countries at all and have only led to increased tensions and crises. He emphasized that sustainable security can only be achieved through cooperation among neighboring countries and considered collaboration and brainstorming among regional countries a necessity.

Future Outlook for Regional Security

In conclusion, Zarif expressed hope for the establishment of new security arrangements in the region, stating: "We must move towards a future where neighboring countries can jointly ensure the security and stability of the region." He emphasized that such arrangements would not only benefit the regional countries but could also pave the way for peace and economic cooperation.
