The Donald Trump administration, the President of the United States, is considering new military options against Iran. This decision is made as tensions in the Middle East have sharply escalated and U.S. security officials have proposed broader operations.

Planning for Military Attacks

According to published reports, Trump has asked the Pentagon to develop plans to target Iran's missile infrastructure, energy facilities, and other military centers. These plans have been proposed while the U.S. President has emphasized that no action will be taken before the midterm elections on November 3.

Reports indicate that U.S. security officials have proposed broad operations against Iran or the Houthis at least five times in recent months, but Trump has rejected these plans. However, it seems that the President is once again considering a short and intense military campaign that was discussed last week at Camp David.

Increased U.S. Military Presence in the Region

Trump's new statements come as the U.S. military has deployed more military resources to the region. U.S. officials have announced that the third aircraft carrier, USS Theodore Roosevelt, along with thousands of troops stationed on it and its accompanying ships, may arrive in the region by the end of October. This situation indicates an increase in tensions and the possibility of military conflicts in the near future.

At the same time, Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, during a meeting with Masoud Pezeshkian, his Iranian counterpart, announced Moscow's readiness to help end the war and crisis in the Middle East. Putin stated that Iran has made genuine efforts to end the U.S. and Israeli war against it.

Masoud Pezeshkian also emphasized Tehran's willingness for a diplomatic resolution to the dispute, stating that Iran will not retreat from the path of negotiation. He clarified: "Every time we talk to the United States, they launch new attacks. Nevertheless, we will not leave the negotiation table."

In this situation, it is unclear whether Trump's increase in military options, coinciding with Iran's diplomatic efforts, can lead to a reduction in tensions in the region. However, what is clear is that the situation in the Middle East remains fragile, and any military action could have serious and unpredictable consequences.
