The rate of the US dollar today in the currency exchange hall registered an increase of 495 tomans compared to yesterday, rising to the level of 165,383 tomans. On this day, effective demand in the currency market is clearly observed, indicating upward signals in the market.

Increase in Euro and Dirham Prices

The euro also returned to an upward path, compensating for the previous day's decline, and with a jump of 443 tomans, reached 190,886 tomans. The buying rate of this European currency was also recorded at 189,168 tomans, reflecting the impact of global exchange rate fluctuations on currency settlements within the country.

In the section of high-demand currencies in the Middle East and East Asia, the UAE dirham also increased by 135 tomans, reaching a selling rate of 45,032 tomans and a buying rate of 44,627 tomans. These price increases clearly indicate the thirst for settling import invoices from these two origins.

Fluctuations in Other Currencies

On the other hand, the selling rate of one hundred Japanese yen fell by 149 tomans to reach 106,627 tomans, and the rate of one thousand South Korean won also decreased by 97 tomans to reach 121,467 tomans. In contrast, the Russian ruble and Indian rupee showed positive changes, raising the selling rate of the ruble to 1,963 tomans and the selling price of the rupee to 1,724 tomans.

These fluctuations occur while the currency market remains influenced by high buyer demand and global fluctuations. The recent increase in the prices of the dollar and euro may affect domestic markets as well as the prices of imported goods. This upward trend in currency prices has raised concerns about its impact on the overall economy of the country.
