Azita Hematian, the Deputy for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment of the Welfare, Services, and Social Participation Organization of Tehran Municipality, recently announced the launch of permanent exhibitions for small and home businesses in the capital. These exhibitions are being established to support small producers, introduce products, and develop the sales market for home businesses. Currently, two permanent exhibitions are being prepared in districts 7 and 15 of Tehran and are set to be inaugurated this month.
Support for Small Producers
Hematian further noted that the exhibitions will serve as a bridge for small producers and customers. This initiative not only helps support home businesses but also provides an opportunity to introduce local and indigenous products. Additionally, these exhibitions allow producers to directly offer their products to customers, thereby enabling better marketing.
Holding Seasonal Exhibitions
The Deputy Mayor of Tehran also added that in addition to permanent exhibitions, seasonal exhibitions will be continuously held in parks and recreational areas across the 22 districts of Tehran. These exhibitions are dedicated to introducing and showcasing products from small and home business operators, aiming to create a space for greater interaction between producers and consumers.
Hematian emphasized that holding these exhibitions is just part of Tehran Municipality's supportive programs for empowering actors in this field. Providing specialized training and consulting in the areas of starting and developing businesses, marketing, and sales are among other ongoing initiatives. These efforts pursue a significant goal: to facilitate the entrepreneurial process and assist small producers in becoming more successful in today's competitive market.
With the establishment of these exhibitions, it is hoped that small producers can facilitate access to new markets by creating supportive networks and ultimately contribute to local economic prosperity. To this end, Tehran Municipality will also pave the way for these producers with careful planning and necessary consultations.
