Pachenar Bazaar, one of the historical and cultural symbols of Tehran, is currently undergoing extensive restoration and reconstruction. This project, which is being implemented in close cooperation with the merchants and Tehran Municipality, aims to preserve the historical identity of this area and improve business conditions in the bazaar.

Efforts to Preserve Historical Identity

Ahmad Alavi, the head of the Tourism and Cultural Heritage Committee of the Islamic Council of Tehran, said about this project: "The merchants of the Grand Bazaar of Tehran's reception of construction and restoration plans has created a suitable environment for advancing construction activities." According to him, this cooperation helps accelerate the implementation of plans and strengthens the sense of responsibility among market participants.

Details of Restoration and Reconstruction

The restoration of Pachenar Bazaar is being carried out in two main parts: restoring the walls and organizing the roof and floor of the bazaar. Alavi announced that the restoration of the walls of Pachenar Bazaar is being executed with the participation of merchants over a length of 234 meters and with a physical progress of 85%. This operation includes the removal of excess materials, demolition of old walls, implementation of traditional bricks, and restoration of the walls.

In another part of this project, the Municipality of District 12 is working on organizing the roof and floor of the bazaar. Alavi added: "The roof restoration operations have been completed, and the implementation of the flooring is currently underway with a physical progress of 25%." These actions demonstrate a serious commitment to the reconstruction and improvement of Pachenar Bazaar.

Social and Economic Impacts

The restoration of Pachenar Bazaar not only helps preserve the historical identity of this place but also has positive effects on the local economy. With improved market conditions and increased visual appeal, it is expected that more visitors and buyers will be attracted to this area. This can help boost businesses and provide more motivation for market participants to collaborate in preserving and maintaining this cultural heritage.

Additionally, this project can serve as a model for other historical bazaars in Tehran and even other cities in the country. Cooperation between merchants and government institutions can help improve the economic and social conditions of these areas and lead to the preservation of their cultural and historical values.

Ultimately, the reconstruction of Pachenar Bazaar is an important step towards sustainable development and cultural preservation that requires the active cooperation and participation of all stakeholders. With the continuation of this process, there is hope that Pachenar Bazaar will be recognized not only as a commercial center but also as a unique tourist attraction in Tehran.
