The intelligent trading and storage system for precious metals, aimed at enhancing transparency and oversight in the gold market, has connected to the monitoring system of the Central Bank. This connection is designed to accurately record and monitor online gold transactions and ensure that the commitments of platforms align with the physical gold inventory in the treasury.

Precise Oversight of Gold Transactions

With this connection, any transaction made in the intelligent trading and storage system for precious metals will be under the supervision and registration of the Central Bank. The monitoring system continuously matches the amount of gold registered in users' accounts with the actual treasury inventory. If the commitments of the platform exceed its inventory, the transaction will not be recorded. This mechanism assures users that every gram of gold purchased has a real and verifiable backing.

Development of the Intelligent System for Market Regulation

The intelligent trading and storage system for precious metals was launched in August 2024 as part of the Ministry of Industry's efforts to oversee online gold sales. This system is designed in the form of a sandbox to improve the conditions of the gold market. In accordance with the executive directive approved by the Cabinet and aimed at regulating the online gold market, the connection of this system to the Central Bank is considered an important step towards the development and improvement of oversight over online gold transactions.

This transformation in the gold market could have positive implications for stakeholders in this field. With increased oversight and transparency, the trust of investors and gold buyers in this market will grow. Additionally, this action could help prevent potential abuses and fraud in this area.

Ultimately, it seems that with these changes, the gold market in Iran will move towards a more organized and stable structure, which benefits all stakeholders in this field. However, all stakeholders must keep in mind that oversight and transparency alone are not sufficient, and continuous cooperation between government entities and market participants is essential for creating a healthy and sustainable trading environment.
