The bus fleet of Region 16 in Tehran has been renewed after 10 years, with 43 new buses added to the routes in this area. This renewal was celebrated in a ceremony attended by the governor, several city managers, and citizens, responding to one of the long-standing demands of the residents of the Javadiye neighborhood.

Renewal of Bus Routes

In this phase, 4 bus routes have been renewed, including the route from Vasal Terminal to Aliabad Metro Terminal with 7 Scania buses, the route from Vasal Terminal to Martyr Fayyazbakhsh Terminal with 11 electric buses, and the route from 17 Shahrivar Terminal to Martyr Fayyazbakhsh Terminal with 11 electric buses. Additionally, the route from Javadiye to Martyr Fayyazbakhsh Terminal has also been renewed with 14 electric buses.

This renewal, especially on the Javadiye route, which is one of the busiest routes in the area, will help reduce passenger waiting times. Akbar Moghaddam, a council member and resident of the Javadiye neighborhood, stated: "In the past, we sometimes had to wait a long time for buses to arrive and depart. I hope that with the arrival of the new buses, this problem will be resolved."

Impacts of Fleet Renewal

With the addition of these buses, the time interval between bus departures on these routes will come closer to organizational standards. This action not only helps reduce traffic but also contributes to improving the air quality in Tehran. The municipality of Region 16 has announced that as the public transportation fleet is strengthened, it will further aid in improving the city's air quality and reducing traffic.

The city management, through continuous efforts, has succeeded in fulfilling one of the demands of the people of Javadiye. The arrival of 14 electric buses on this route signifies an upgrade in public transportation services and a reduction in waiting times for passengers. The renewal of other routes in Region 16 is also underway, and it is expected that with the conclusion of existing contracts, their renewal will also be possible.

With the increase in the bus fleet in Region 16, hopes for improved service quality and greater citizen satisfaction have risen. These actions reflect the serious commitment of city management to respond to the transportation needs of citizens and can be seen as a positive step towards improving living conditions in Tehran.
