The book "The Pulse of Life in the Ancient City; Enhancing Vitality in the Dimej Neighborhood of Qazvin" spans 158 pages and examines the capacities, historical features, and current status of the Dimej neighborhood in Qazvin. This book aims to provide solutions for enhancing the vitality and social life of this neighborhood by analyzing its status from various dimensions.

History and Current Status of the Dimej Neighborhood

The Dimej neighborhood is one of the historical neighborhoods of Qazvin, dating back to the Safavid period. This neighborhood is located in district 2 and zone 11 of Qazvin and is bordered on four sides by the main streets of Omran, Palestine, Eastern Palestine, and Adl. The population of this area is estimated to be around 1,334 people. An examination of the Dimej neighborhood's status from the perspective of physical characteristics, accessibility, functionality, and the quality of urban spaces indicates that the deterioration of the fabric, narrow passages, and security issues are among the main challenges of this neighborhood.

Demographic and Cultural Changes

The book also refers to the changing demographic composition of the Dimej neighborhood, stating that due to current conditions, some of the original and local residents of this neighborhood have migrated to other parts of the city. In this context, low-income individuals and villagers have replaced the previous residents due to lower property prices. These changes have clearly had profound effects on the social and cultural fabric of the neighborhood.

This work also examines historical and cultural buildings such as the historic Haj Malatqi bath, the Seminary of the Ambassadors of Guidance, the mosques of Molla Vardikhan and Sargol, and the Salehieh School. These buildings, as symbols of Qazvin's historical identity, are striving to return to effective social life.

The book "The Pulse of Life in the Ancient City" relies on scientific foundations of urban planning and urban studies, examining the concept of vitality from various aspects and evaluating its current status while exploring the historical background of Qazvin and the Dimej neighborhood. Providing strategies and practical suggestions for revitalizing commercial corridors and strengthening the social life of the neighborhood are other focal points of this work.

On the back cover of the book, it states: "The Dimej neighborhood is part of Qazvin's historical identity; a place where native architecture, community, and daily life are intertwined." This work is an effort to revisit the capacities of this neighborhood and provide solutions for enhancing its vitality, introduced with a sustainable and human-centered approach.

The book "The Pulse of Life in the Ancient City; Enhancing Vitality in the Dimej Neighborhood of Qazvin" has been published in 100 copies by Shama Avid Publications.
