Majid Amani, the CEO of the Technical and Engineering Consulting Organization of Tehran, along with Mohammad Sadegh Kheirkhah and a group of managers, visited the bridge reinforcement projects in Tehran. These projects are being implemented to enhance safety and improve the structural integrity of the bridges, especially against earthquakes.

Reinforcement of Sheikh Fazlollah-Jalal Al-Ahmad Intersection Bridge

Amani referred to the details of the reinforcement project for the Sheikh Fazlollah-Jalal Al-Ahmad intersection bridge during this visit and stated: "This bridge is undergoing deck renovation and seismic retrofitting. Improving the safety of this structure, as one of the key traffic points in the city, is a priority."

Imam Khomeini (RA) - Sattar Khan Bridge Project

Another significant project is the reinforcement of the Imam Khomeini (RA) - Sattar Khan bridge, which has a history of 30 years. This bridge, with special technical specifications including a length of 1600 meters and a width of 35 meters, is currently undergoing renovation. In this project, seismic retrofitting of 280 columns (in 70 rows of 4) with a concrete and metal composite is underway according to the scheduled plan.

The CEO of the Technical and Engineering Consulting Organization of Tehran also highlighted the importance of these projects in reducing earthquake risks, adding: "Given Tehran's geographical location and natural hazards, these projects can play a significant role in protecting the lives and property of citizens."

Consequences of Project Implementation

Implementing these projects not only helps improve the safety of structures but also, considering the increase in traffic and the need for resilient infrastructure, will enhance the quality of life for citizens. According to Amani, these actions align with the long-term plans of the Tehran municipality to improve urban infrastructure and achieve greater safety against natural disasters.

Ultimately, the managers present during this visit emphasized that the implementation of these projects will continue with seriousness, and we will soon witness positive changes in the structure of the capital's bridges. These actions will have an impact not only on a macro level but also in the daily lives of citizens.
