Syria has responded negatively to Saudi Arabia's request to send troops to Yemen, politely rejecting the matter. This decision comes at a time when Saudi Arabia is seeking to meet its military needs in Yemen and counter the Ansar Allah movement.

Syria's Response to Saudi Arabia's Request

Syrian sources quoted an informed source stating that Saudi Arabia's request to organize a Syrian force to counter Ansar Allah was raised several months ago. However, the Syrian government has explicitly stated that it is focusing on organizing its internal military forces and will not seek to enter this conflict as a third party.

This source added: "This matter is now over and done with. Syria has decided not to participate in the conflicts in Yemen and is focusing on strengthening its own forces."

Situation of Forces and Individual Responsibility

The government of the rebels ruling Syria, while not preventing individuals from participating in conflicts, has emphasized that Damascus will not take responsibility for such participations. This decision may indicate Syria's desire to maintain sovereignty and prevent the escalation of external conflicts.

At the same time, Turkish sources denied claims that Turkey has a role in transferring or organizing Syrians to be sent to Yemen, emphasizing the sovereignty of both Syria and Saudi Arabia.

Saudi Arabia's Efforts to Secure Forces

Saudi Arabia's efforts to recruit forces from various countries continue. According to reports, Saudi Arabia is looking to attract forces from different countries, especially Pakistan and some North African countries like Egypt and Libya. These developments come as clashes in Yemen have intensified and the Ansar Allah movement has gained control over key positions along the Red Sea coast.

This situation may be influenced by the "Mecca Agreement"; an agreement expected to facilitate cooperation among Turkey, Pakistan, and other countries involved in security and defense issues. Informed sources believe that effective defense cooperation could be reviewed after the integration of this agreement into the domestic legal frameworks of the member countries.

Given these developments, it seems that Turkey and Pakistan will focus on defense tasks rather than direct ground operations against Ansar Allah. The primary priority for these countries will be the protection of energy facilities, strategic infrastructure, and important population and administrative centers.
