Seyyed Abbas Araqchi, our Foreign Minister, explained Iran's position regarding the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council in an interview with Al Jazeera. He stated that Iran has no hostility towards these countries and emphasized the importance of regional cooperation and the lack of need for foreign military presence.

Araqchi's Message to Neighboring Countries

Araqchi, in a message in Arabic on platform X, appreciated the positive efforts of Qatar and Oman in the field of diplomacy and regional dialogues. He clarified that Iran seeks to achieve new security arrangements that the countries of the region can shape themselves. This position reflects Iran's willingness to establish peace and stability in the region and particularly emphasizes the continuation of talks with Saudi Arabia.

The Necessity of Regional Cooperation

The Iranian Foreign Minister noted that only through cooperation and participation of the countries in the region can sustainable security be achieved. Araqchi clearly stated: "We are seeking security arrangements that are based on the capabilities of the countries in the region instead of foreign interventions." These remarks could indicate a shift in Iran's approach towards diplomacy and reducing tensions in the Gulf.

In recent years, tensions in the Gulf, especially between Iran and Saudi Arabia, have increased. However, it seems that Iran, with this message, has taken steps towards reducing these tensions and creating a more positive atmosphere for dialogue. This approach could help improve relations among neighboring countries and establish stability in the region.

Additionally, Araqchi stated at the end that "we are always ready to talk with the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and are seeking common solutions for regional challenges." These statements reflect Iran's hope for creating positive cooperation with neighboring countries.
