Shukri Baluch, the head of the Rimdan Economic Zone in Sistan and Baluchestan province, announced during a visit to the Rimdan border on October 22 that the clearance and dispatch operations for trucks carrying goods, which had been stranded due to the closure of the Rimdan border in recent days, are now underway. This reopening could be the beginning of strengthening trade and economic exchanges in the region.

Potential of Chabahar and Rimdan Customs for Trade Development
Ghorbani added that the total exports from Chabahar customs in the previous markets and the Chabahar Free Zone at the Rimdan border have reached 1,069 licenses, 808,520 tons of goods, and $109,679,816. These statistics indicate the high capacity of these areas for the development of exports, imports, transit, and commercial exchanges.
The reopening of the Rimdan border can play a key role in improving the economic situation in southern Sistan and Baluchestan. With the increase in the volume of goods movement and fleet activity in these routes, these areas can achieve an important position in regional trade exchanges. These developments will have positive consequences not only for local traders and merchants but also for the entire country.
According to experts, given the geographical location and existing infrastructure, the Chabahar and Rimdan customs can act as trade gateways to access international markets. This is especially significant in the current conditions where there is a need for diversification in trade routes and strengthening economic relations with neighboring countries.
