The renaming of streets and sports complexes in the capital reflects the devotion and respect for the martyrs and the effort to keep their memory alive. In the 432nd session of the Islamic Council of Tehran, the names of 12 streets and a sports complex in various areas of Tehran were changed to honor the martyrs. This action was taken to commemorate the memory of those who laid down their lives for their homeland.
Renamed Streets
According to the decision of the Islamic Council of Tehran, Ba'ath Street located in Shahid Fatemi in District 6 was renamed after Martyr Ahmad Hejrati. Additionally, Noor Alley on Damavand Street in District 8 was named after Martyr Gharib Reza Darayi. In District 11, Mosibi Alley on Ayatollah Iruni Street was renamed after Martyr Ahmad Faraji, and Khatami Alley on Qazvin Street was renamed after Martyr Davood Hasht-o-Chahar.

Continuing these changes, Pasdar Alley on Vali Asr Street (AS) was named in memory of the late Seyyed Mohammad Reza Taheri, Bostan Alley on Vali Asr Street (AS) was named after Amir Hossein Payami Hojghan, and Shahiddoost Alley on Shahid Shadabadi Street was named after Martyr Hadi Kord. These changes reflect the determination of citizens and officials to honor the memory of the martyrs.
Sports Complex and Other Naming
In District 14 of Tehran, the name of Fall Alley located on Khavaran Street was changed to Martyr Mohammad Reza Zandi. Additionally, Marvi Alley on Shahid Gilaki Street was named after Martyr Mohsen Shah Nazari, and Arghavan Alley on Shahid Davarzani Street was named after Martyr Ebrahim Aghili. In this context, Raz Alley on Pasdar Ghomnam Street was named after Martyr Mostafa Gharib Shirangi, and Laleh Alley on Khavaran Street was renamed after Martyr Masoud Sabzi.
Moreover, the Shokufe Sports Complex on 17 Shahrivar Street was also renamed after Martyr Nasrollah Sahabi. These changes not only demonstrate respect for the martyrs but also serve as an effort to remind the sacrifices they made in the history of the country. Therefore, naming streets and sports complexes after the martyrs can serve as a model for future generations and encourage them to remember human and national values.
