In recent days, numerous reports have emerged regarding the issuance of prison sentences for students who participated in recent protests. These sentences, which sometimes reach several years of imprisonment, have raised serious concerns about the future of education and human rights in Iran. Student activists, recognized as pioneers of protests, are at risk of expulsion and suspension from their studies.
Some universities have expelled protesting students under various pretexts, while the students have only raised their legal and reasonable demands. This trend clearly shows that educational institutions are becoming tools of repression instead of supporting students.
Dark Future for Protesting Students
As students face increasing pressures, the future of their education and social activities is shrouded in uncertainty.
