Qobad Moradi, head of the Center for Communicable Disease Management, addressed the issue of lice spread in society, especially among female students, during a press conference and emphasized that attention to the treatment of this disease in low-income areas and communities is of particular importance.
Spread of Lice and the Importance of Timely Treatment
Moradi announced at this meeting that lice is one of the common problems in schools, and especially in girls' schools, its spread is rapidly increasing. He pointed out that the treatment of lice is very simple, saying: "The spread of this disease occurs easily, and if not addressed, it can lead to more serious consequences."

New Strain and Health Concerns
The head of the Center for Communicable Disease Management also referred to a new strain that is currently spreading and explained that this strain is a sub-strain of Omicron. This issue has raised concerns regarding public health and the need for greater attention to community health.
Moradi pointed out that attention to lice treatment and other communicable diseases in low-income communities should be prioritized, adding: "Many families are unable to afford treatment costs due to economic conditions, and this needs to be addressed by officials."
During this meeting, Moradi also mentioned preventive measures against lice spread and emphasized the need for awareness-raising among families and schools. He stated that necessary training for preventing this disease should be continuously provided to students and parents to prevent further spread.
Meanwhile, it seems that with increased public awareness and the provision of treatment facilities for low-income families, it is possible to help reduce the spread of lice and other communicable diseases. In this regard, cooperation and coordination among health and educational institutions appear to be essential.
Overall, attention to community health and hygiene, especially in low-income areas, should be prioritized in health policy-making to prevent more serious problems from arising.
