Qatar, as a new mediator, is striving to establish a five-day agreement between the United States and Iran to reduce tensions in the region. This agreement is designed so that both countries grant concessions to each other at a specified time.
Details of the Proposed Agreement
The Qatari proposal includes the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz to commercial vessels and also ending the maritime blockade of Iranian ports by the United States. This action could help reduce existing tensions between the two countries and reactivate trade routes.

However, one of the main challenges in this agreement is the timing and order of concessions. Both sides are seeking guarantees for fulfilling their commitments, which could complicate the negotiation process.
Qatari Officials' Visit to Tehran
Qatari officials have traveled to Iran as part of an effort to reduce regional tensions. This visit has been coordinated with Washington and aims to prevent the recurrence of conflicts in the region. Qatari mediators in Tehran have discussed and exchanged views on the details of the proposed agreement.
Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump has recently received a report on military options presented by the Pentagon, which includes attacks on Iran's nuclear facilities and islands controlled by Tehran. These options are being considered particularly following reports of Iran's preparations for an attack on Americans.
Withdrawal of U.S. Diplomatic Personnel
Following these reports, the United States has withdrawn its personnel from diplomatic centers and military bases in the Middle East. Diplomats and staff have received orders to leave the U.S. embassy in Saudi Arabia and other diplomatic centers in the region. These actions are taking place as the U.S. State Department has updated its travel warnings for 13 Middle Eastern countries.
Alongside these developments, U.S. officials have also announced that U.S. warships in the Middle East are on standby to act if needed to escalate conflicts.
Trump had previously stated that he would not attack Iran before the November midterm elections, but during various trips across the country, he has repeatedly indicated to attendees at campaign rallies that they should expect decisive actions.
Tehran and Serious Warnings
Tehran has also seriously warned that any aggression from Washington and the Zionist regime will be met with a response far more painful than the forty-day war. These statements reflect the severity of tensions and concerns in the region.
Despite this, there is no guarantee that Trump will agree to new attacks. He has previously backed down from his decisions in similar situations. However, the process of dialogue and efforts to reach a peaceful agreement continue, and hopes for reducing tensions remain alive.
