Hadi Zand, the Director of Communications and International Affairs of the Tehran Metro Operating Company, announced the launch of personal ticket card services at the ticket sales counters of two metro stations. These services will be available starting today, Saturday, October 4th, for passengers who do not have access to the Shahrzad system.
Accessibility of In-Person Services
Zand explained that passengers who have access to the Shahrzad application or system can personalize their cards through this system. However, to facilitate access for other passengers, in-person services have also been made available at these two stations. This initiative aims to provide comfort and greater accessibility for individuals who are not familiar with modern technologies.
Working Hours and Required Documents
This service will be provided from 8 AM to 6 PM, except on holidays, with the presence of an operator. Applicants must bring their metro ticket card and a mobile phone registered in their name; as the required code for the process will be sent to the applicant's mobile phone number. These measures are designed to protect information and ensure the accuracy of the personalization process.
Zand also noted that in subsequent phases, as equipment is established at other stations, new locations for providing these services will be announced. This program is specifically designed to improve the quality of metro services and facilitate the daily travels of citizens.
With the launch of these services, it is expected that more passengers will be able to utilize the metro facilities and that issues related to purchasing tickets at counters will be minimized. This initiative will not only help reduce waiting times at stations but also make the metro travel experience more comfortable and pleasant for citizens.
