Tashakkori Hashemi, the head of the Urban Development and Transportation Commission of the Tehran City Council, reviewed the traffic situation in October this year and praised the performance of the Greater Tehran Traffic Police. He noted that the effective presence of police forces in streets and schools has significantly contributed to organizing the traffic of the capital.
Police Presence in Key Streets
Hashemi said: "In this month, almost no important street, high school, elementary school, or kindergarten was observed without the presence of police forces to establish traffic discipline." This indicates the continuous efforts of the Traffic Police to reduce traffic congestion and increase safety in public areas. According to him, this presence allowed parents to send their children to school with more peace of mind and helped reduce traffic accidents.
Positive Effects of Police Actions
Tashakkori Hashemi referred to the positive results of these actions and added: "Traffic control, especially during peak hours, has led to reduced travel time and increased citizen satisfaction." He also emphasized the importance of cooperation between the police and the municipality, stating that this collaboration could lead to continuous improvement of the traffic situation in the capital.
In this regard, Hashemi announced the future plans of the Urban Development and Transportation Commission of the Tehran City Council to improve traffic conditions. He said: "We are looking to implement projects that, in addition to increasing street capacity, will also help develop public transportation. These actions will improve the quality of life for citizens and reduce air pollution."
On the other hand, the effective presence of police in the streets has not only helped reduce traffic congestion but has also created a sense of security among citizens. Especially during busy hours of the day, when parents send their children to school with concern, the presence of police forces around schools can provide greater peace of mind.
This report shows that effective cooperation between various institutions can yield positive results for citizens and improve living conditions in cities. Hashemi concluded by emphasizing that the continuation and optimization of this process requires the support and cooperation of all citizens and responsible institutions.
