Parviz Sarvari, in the four hundred thirty-eighth session of the Islamic Council of Tehran, emphasized the sensitive conditions of the country and being in the midst of an "existential war," calling the statements of some political figures regarding retreat surprising and regrettable.

Iran's Power on the Global Stage

Sarvari stated that "Iran has not initiated the war and is currently in a position of power," addressing critics of the country's defense policies: "Gentlemen who speak of tactical retreat today, where exactly do they stand? Retreating at this historical juncture means signing the document of destruction and disintegration of the country."

He also referred to the experience of the JCPOA and described the actions of past governments in negotiations as "promise-selling." Sarvari said: "You gave numerous concessions and trampled on red lines, but the result was nothing but the imposition of more pressure. The enemy has repeatedly shown its intentions, and its goal is to nullify the defensive power and destroy the essence of this country."

The Fate of Libya and Its Lessons

Sarvari, recalling the fate of Libya and trust in the United States, stated: "Whenever the enemy sees you as weak, it attacks, and if you are strong, peace and security will come. Libya, when it disarmed under the pretext of friendship, was stabbed in the back by that very enemy and was overthrown."

The Vice President of the Tehran City Council also hinted at some political figures, including Mohammad Javad Zarif and Hossein Marashi, calling them "opportunists." He emphasized: "Why do you illuminate the path for the enemy by creating false dichotomies between the field and diplomacy at critical moments of national power? Promoting a view that sees peace as contingent upon bowing to the enemy recalls the whitewashing of disgraceful historical treaties such as Turkmenchay."

In conclusion, Sarvari emphasized that preserving the country is achieved through standing firm and relying on national dignity, stating: "Keep this version of humiliation and surrender for yourselves. Islamic Iran is our red line, and we will never bow before the cunning enemy. Victory comes only from God, and steadfastness is the only way to preserve this land."
