Zero inflation plan and the need for serious cooperation
The head of the Tehran City Council referred to the zero inflation plan, stating: "This plan has been welcomed and has no opposition. However, there are questions regarding financial resources and its implementation that need to be carefully examined." He emphasized the importance of cooperation with the government and vendors, noting: "The continuation of this plan requires serious collaboration and brainstorming."
Chamran also referred to the status of urban boundaries, stating: "The condition of the boundaries is abnormal, and we have reported the issues to the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development. The illegal activities occurring in the boundaries must be investigated, and we will approve a structural plan for the boundaries to improve their condition."
The condition of the trees in Chitgar Park and pest infestation
The head of the Tehran City Council also spoke about the condition of the trees in Chitgar Park, stating: "Two years ago, we addressed the issue of pest infestation in the trees, and some of them were removed to prevent the spread of disease to other trees. This process is still ongoing, and the mayor of District 22 should be instructed to provide a report on this matter." He pointed out that the claim of two-thirds of the trees drying out is incorrect, and the continued removal of infested trees is essential.
Chamran also referred to the recent closed session of the council and the issue of neighborhood trustees, stating: "The decrees of the trustees must be issued by the mayor of Tehran to prevent duality. If a decree is annulled, it should be considered as a municipal decree." He added that there are differing opinions in this regard, and the activities of the neighborhood trustees have progressed slowly.
Construction of a 30-story hotel in Velenjak and related concerns
In conclusion, Chamran responded to a question from a reporter regarding the construction of a 30-story hotel in Velenjak, stating: "Investigations show that this hotel is not on a fault line and is at a safe distance from it. We should encourage the construction of hotels in the current situation where we face a shortage of hotels, rather than prevent it. If there are concerns, they should be examined carefully."
